Timepiece Bag
Letting constraints guide the form, this handheld wooden timepiece was intended to honor the austerity and history of its primary material
Created for my Rapid Prototyping class, this project is meant to be a celebration of the newly acquired skillset gained over the quarter. Ostensibly a shop class focused on wood shop tool use and plastics, this final project required the implementation of a variety of techniques covered within the curriculum.
Leaning heavily into the requirement of utilizing wood felt only natural, and so I found inspiration in what I consider to be one of the most iconic wooden objects, a grandfather clock.
With my minor in accessory design, I find great pleasure in being able to combine the two subjects by using industrial tools and materials on a product that is primarily a soft good, leading to the creation of this functional, hand crafted statement handbag.
